Brian has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked in-house for companies including GEC, Siemens, BT and Marconi before building two award-winning public relations consultancies. He has covered all aspects of PR work, from global campaigns to crisis management and as a former newsroom journalist he is a contributor to several trade publication.
Currently Managing Director of Proactive PR, a Europe-based consultancy with clients on four Continents, Brian was previously Managing Director of BCS PR and was also the Global Media Relations Director for Marconi, working across 140 countries and handling an average of 250 news announcements each year. Brian has also been Head of PR for GPT – the GEC/Siemens company.
Outside of work, Brian is an England Squash coach and a fully qualified football referee. He is very interested in military history and has visited many famous battlefields across the world. He lectures on PR to students at the University of Lincoln. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Institute of Directors (IoD).
