Managing editor Anne Veigle has left the Warren Communications News-owned publication. She previously served as a senior editor for the publication. Prior to joining Communications Daily, Anne worked at Consumer Electronics Daily, FCC Report and Satellite Week. She is not expected to be replaced; assistant editor Adam Bender has taken on some of Annes responsibilities.
Contributing editor Laura Blackwell has been named downloads editor for PCWorld. She will continue to pen her column, Download This, which covers downloadable software. She also has served as an associate editor and editorial coordinator at the publication. Laura has been with PCWorld since 2001.
Blogger Marc Flores has joined the editorial staff to focus on mobile technology, including mobile phones, services and applications. Marc previously wrote for Boy Genius Report and True/Slant.
Writer, Daniel Brusilovsky was let go from the technology blog because of ethical concerns after he reportedly accepted compensation for his blog posts. Daniel covered the technology industry for the site. No replacement has been named.
Philippe Winthrop has left his position as director of the research firm. He held this position since July 2008. Philippe will continue to write the Enterprise Mobility Matters blog, which is a source of information on mobile application integration, mobile computers and other enterprise mobility devices and issues. His replacement has not been named.
Light Reading has changed the name of mobile news site, Unstrung to Light Reading Mobile. The sites newsletters, Unstrung Daily and Unstrung Weekly, will now be called Light Reading Mobile Daily and Light Reading Mobile Weekly.
