Scot Petersen has been named the editorial director for CIO/IT strategy media at TechTarget. He will oversee the e-newsletter IT/Business Strategies and the Web sites SearchCIO.com and SearchCIO-Midmarket.com. Scot is replacing Anne McCrory, who left the company. Anne had been with TechTarget since 2004.

Mathew Ingram has joined the tech blog as a senior writer. Before joining GigaOM, Mathew was the communities editor for The Globe and Mail, he had been there for more than a decade. He plans to continue to maintain the Mathew Ingram Blog.
